ONE BEACH, A MILLION FACES:
PLATTE SALINE, ALDERNEY
photographed between June 2018 and now
Alderney is a tiny little island 3 miles long and 1,5 mile wide with 7 main beaches and many more smaller and hidden ones. Platte Saline is a 900m long heaven of golden sand and most of the times rough waters.
It is my favourite spot to connect to the wild nature of Alderney. Never crowded as swimming is not permitted here due to a severe undertow, just sitting there for hours and observing makes me happy.
Its ever-changing character inspired me to document the beach during the seasons, different parts of a day and various weather conditions.
